# Microsoft OneDrive vs Hivenet

Microsoft OneDrive and Hivenet both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Hivenet's written reviews are positive against 19% of Microsoft OneDrive's. Microsoft OneDrive's advantage is ratings volume (488K vs 9) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft OneDrive sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Hivenet sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Microsoft OneDrive against 4.6 for Hivenet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft OneDrive has 488K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of Microsoft OneDrive's written reviews are positive against 78% of Hivenet's.

Microsoft OneDrive ships an update every 11 days, Hivenet every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
