# Air Matters vs Solstice

Air Matters and Solstice both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 85% of Solstice's written reviews are positive against 50% of Air Matters's. Solstice also leads on ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#101 vs unranked). Air Matters's advantage is ratings volume (2.5K vs 80) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.5). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Air Matters sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and Solstice sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solstice holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air Matters has 2.5K ratings behind it against 80, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Air Matters's written reviews are positive against 85% of Solstice's.

Air Matters ships an update monthly, Solstice every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
