# Кинопоиск vs KION

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Кинопоиск at 40K against KION's 612. Кинопоиск also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). KION's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 26%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Кинопоиск sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and KION sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Кинопоиск against 4.7 for KION. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Кинопоиск has 40K ratings behind it against 612, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 26% of Кинопоиск's written reviews are positive against 43% of KION's.

Кинопоиск ships an update weekly, KION fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
