# Virtual Scoreboard vs 2Counter

The clearest difference is rating: Virtual Scoreboard at 4.7 against 2Counter's 3.8. Virtual Scoreboard also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 56%) and ratings volume (23K vs 4). 2Counter's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Virtual Scoreboard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and 2Counter sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Virtual Scoreboard holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Scoreboard has 23K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Virtual Scoreboard's written reviews are positive against 56% of 2Counter's.

Virtual Scoreboard ships an update every 11 days, 2Counter fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
