# Fishbrain vs E

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: E at none against Fishbrain's 14. E also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Fishbrain's advantage is ratings volume (76K vs 1) and chart position (#7 vs unranked). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fishbrain sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. E asks for nothing beyond the download.

E holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fishbrain has 76K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fishbrain ships an update fortnightly, E every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
