# NonRev vs STBY

The clearest difference is monetization model: STBY at free with in-app purchases against NonRev's subscription. STBY also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). NonRev's advantage is ratings volume (404 vs 2) and chart position (#196 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NonRev sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and STBY sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

STBY holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NonRev has 404 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NonRev ships an update every 3 months, STBY weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
