# Distance Tool vs Quick Measure

The clearest difference is ads: Distance Tool at none against Quick Measure's shown. Distance Tool also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 19) and rating (4.4 vs 4.1). Quick Measure's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Distance Tool sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Quick Measure sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Distance Tool holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Distance Tool has 2.2K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Distance Tool ships an update every 2 months, Quick Measure every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
