# BluLines vs PrivateText

The clearest difference is ads: PrivateText at none against BluLines's shown. PrivateText also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.0). BluLines's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BluLines sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PrivateText sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BluLines ships an update every 9 days, PrivateText every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
