# Rouleur vs FormBeat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FormBeat at none against Rouleur's 10. FormBeat also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months) and review sentiment (63% vs 44%). Rouleur's advantage is ratings volume (373 vs 12) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rouleur sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. FormBeat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Rouleur holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rouleur has 373 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Rouleur's written reviews are positive against 63% of FormBeat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rouleur ships an update every 10 months, FormBeat every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
