# VPN One Click vs Shellfire VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN One Click at 4.0 against Shellfire VPN's 3.1. VPN One Click also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (578 vs 14). Shellfire VPN's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (57% vs 40%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN One Click sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Shellfire VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $10.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN One Click holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN One Click has 578 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of VPN One Click's written reviews are positive against 57% of Shellfire VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN One Click ships an update fortnightly, Shellfire VPN every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
