# FTP Sprite+ vs FTP Client

The clearest difference is price: FTP Client at Free against FTP Sprite+'s $1.99. FTP Client also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). FTP Sprite+'s advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

FTP Client is free to download; FTP Sprite+ costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FTP Client holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FTP Sprite+ has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FTP Sprite+ ships an update every 4 months, FTP Client every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
