# Djembe! vs Handpan Rhythms

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Handpan Rhythms at 75% against Djembe!'s 52%. Djembe!'s advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (46 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Djembe! sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Handpan Rhythms sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Djembe! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Djembe! has 46 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Djembe!'s written reviews are positive against 75% of Handpan Rhythms's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Djembe! ships an update every 3 months, Handpan Rhythms every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
