# ECHL vs Stingrays

The clearest difference is rating: Stingrays at 4.3 against ECHL's 2.6. Stingrays also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). ECHL's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (18% vs 0%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stingrays holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECHL has 87 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of ECHL's written reviews are positive against 0% of Stingrays's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ECHL ships an update every 4 months, Stingrays every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
