# Now 新聞 vs HK LegCo

The clearest difference is rating: Now 新聞 at 2.6 against HK LegCo's 2.0. Now 新聞 also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (40 vs 1). HK LegCo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (33% vs 16%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Now 新聞 holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Now 新聞 has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Now 新聞's written reviews are positive against 33% of HK LegCo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Now 新聞 ships an update every 3 weeks, HK LegCo every 5 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
