# Lingualeo vs Skyeng

Lingualeo and Skyeng both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of Lingualeo's written reviews are positive against 46% of Skyeng's. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lingualeo sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Skyeng sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skyeng holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 762 and 2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Lingualeo's written reviews are positive against 46% of Skyeng's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lingualeo ships an update every 10 days, Skyeng fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
