# Ice Rage vs Blocky Hockey

The clearest difference is price: Blocky Hockey at Free against Ice Rage's $1.99. Blocky Hockey also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (918 vs 134). Ice Rage's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). On in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Blocky Hockey is free to download; Ice Rage costs $1.99 up front. Ice Rage sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Blocky Hockey sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blocky Hockey holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blocky Hockey has 918 ratings behind it against 134, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Ice Rage's written reviews are positive against 62% of Blocky Hockey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ice Rage ships an update monthly, Blocky Hockey every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
