# LetterSchool vs Endless Reader

LetterSchool and Endless Reader both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Endless Reader's written reviews are positive against 54% of LetterSchool's. Endless Reader also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). LetterSchool's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 2.8K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LetterSchool sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Endless Reader sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for LetterSchool against 4.5 for Endless Reader. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LetterSchool has 17K ratings behind it against 2.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of LetterSchool's written reviews are positive against 82% of Endless Reader's.

LetterSchool ships an update every 2 months, Endless Reader every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
