# LetterSchool vs Endless Wordplay

The clearest difference is ratings volume: LetterSchool at 17K against Endless Wordplay's 801. LetterSchool also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Endless Wordplay's advantage is review sentiment (66% vs 55%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LetterSchool sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Endless Wordplay sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for LetterSchool against 4.5 for Endless Wordplay. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LetterSchool has 17K ratings behind it against 801, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of LetterSchool's written reviews are positive against 66% of Endless Wordplay's.

LetterSchool ships an update every 2 months, Endless Wordplay every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
