# LetterSchool vs Inventioneers

LetterSchool and Inventioneers both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Inventioneers's written reviews are positive against 54% of LetterSchool's. Inventioneers also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). LetterSchool's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 321). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LetterSchool sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Inventioneers sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for LetterSchool against 4.3 for Inventioneers. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LetterSchool has 17K ratings behind it against 321, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of LetterSchool's written reviews are positive against 78% of Inventioneers's.

LetterSchool ships an update every 2 months, Inventioneers monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
