# B737 MRG vs LineTech Academy

The clearest difference is monetization model: LineTech Academy at freemium against B737 MRG's subscription. LineTech Academy also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). B737 MRG's advantage is ratings volume (299 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. B737 MRG sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and LineTech Academy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for B737 MRG against 5.0 for LineTech Academy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: B737 MRG has 299 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

B737 MRG ships an update every 2 months, LineTech Academy every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
