# Repeat Timer vs Hourly Beep

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Repeat Timer at 7.4K against Hourly Beep's 11. Repeat Timer also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Repeat Timer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hourly Beep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Repeat Timer against 4.5 for Hourly Beep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Repeat Timer has 7.4K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
