# JetBlue vs Icelandair

The clearest difference is ads: Icelandair at none against JetBlue's shown. Icelandair also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). JetBlue's advantage is ratings volume (1.5M vs 7.1K) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

JetBlue holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JetBlue has 1.5M ratings behind it against 7.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of JetBlue's written reviews are positive against 14% of Icelandair's.

JetBlue ships an update every 2 weeks, Icelandair monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
