# Makanim vs NG Flight Simulator

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Makanim at none against NG Flight Simulator's 5. Makanim also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 53%). NG Flight Simulator's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 9 months) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Makanim costs $5.99 and NG Flight Simulator $1.99 up front. NG Flight Simulator sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Makanim asks for nothing beyond the download.

NG Flight Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NG Flight Simulator has 113 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Makanim's written reviews are positive against 53% of NG Flight Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Makanim ships an update every 9 months, NG Flight Simulator every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
