# The Race vs Serania

The clearest difference is rating: Serania at 4.6 against The Race's 3.0. Serania also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 12 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Race sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Serania sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Serania holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Serania has 162 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of The Race's written reviews are positive against 83% of Serania's.

The Race ships an update every 12 months, Serania every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
