# Police Scanner + Fire Radio vs command_line

The clearest difference is rating: command_line at 5.0 against Police Scanner + Fire Radio's 4.6. Police Scanner + Fire Radio's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Police Scanner + Fire Radio sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and command_line sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

command_line holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Police Scanner + Fire Radio has 13K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Police Scanner + Fire Radio ships an update every 5 days, command_line every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
