# Whosnext vs WatchThisCube

The clearest difference is ads: WatchThisCube at none against Whosnext's shown. WatchThisCube also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Whosnext's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (277 vs 12). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whosnext sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and WatchThisCube sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WatchThisCube holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whosnext has 277 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Whosnext's written reviews are positive against 80% of WatchThisCube's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Whosnext ships an update fortnightly, WatchThisCube every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
