# Mary vs Daily Scripture

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Mary at 509 against Daily Scripture's 42. Mary also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Mary against 4.8 for Daily Scripture. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mary has 509 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of Mary's written reviews are positive against 100% of Daily Scripture's.

Mary ships an update every 3 months, Daily Scripture every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 8, 2026 and June 11, 2026 respectively.
