# El Universal + vs DY Edición Digital

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DY Edición Digital at 100% against El Universal +'s 63%. DY Edición Digital also leads on ratings volume (143 vs 2). El Universal +'s advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. El Universal + sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and DY Edición Digital sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

El Universal + holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DY Edición Digital has 143 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of El Universal +'s written reviews are positive against 100% of DY Edición Digital's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

El Universal + ships an update every 5 weeks, DY Edición Digital every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
