# Fotografe vs Nightcam Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Nightcam Camera at 4.1 against Fotografe's 1.0. Nightcam Camera also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 13 months). Fotografe's advantage is iOS requirement (12.1 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fotografe sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Nightcam Camera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nightcam Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nightcam Camera has 2.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of Fotografe's written reviews are positive against 23% of Nightcam Camera's.

Fotografe ships an update every 13 months, Nightcam Camera every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
