# Vintage Camera vs Y2Kapture

Vintage Camera and Y2Kapture both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Y2Kapture's written reviews are positive against 59% of Vintage Camera's. Y2Kapture also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). Vintage Camera's advantage is ratings volume (203 vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vintage Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Y2Kapture sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Y2Kapture holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vintage Camera has 203 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Vintage Camera's written reviews are positive against 100% of Y2Kapture's.

Vintage Camera ships an update every 6 weeks, Y2Kapture every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
