# RTÉ Player vs Fellas Loaded

The clearest difference is rating: RTÉ Player at 4.7 against Fellas Loaded's 4.0. RTÉ Player also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 8). Fellas Loaded's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (66% vs 46%). On price, update cadence, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fellas Loaded sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. RTÉ Player asks for nothing beyond the download.

RTÉ Player holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RTÉ Player has 6.3K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of RTÉ Player's written reviews are positive against 66% of Fellas Loaded's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
