# Classic Miner vs Papa's Cafe

The clearest difference is ads: Papa's Cafe at none against Classic Miner's shown. Papa's Cafe also leads on iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 14.0). Classic Miner's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 19 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Classic Miner sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Papa's Cafe sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Classic Miner holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Classic Miner has 2.3K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Classic Miner's written reviews are positive against 74% of Papa's Cafe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Classic Miner ships an update every 3 months, Papa's Cafe every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
