# Odido vs Calex Smart

The clearest difference is monetization model: Calex Smart at free against Odido's free with in-app purchases. Calex Smart also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0). Odido's advantage is ratings volume (944 vs 35) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Calex Smart holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Odido has 944 ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of Odido's written reviews are positive against 34% of Calex Smart's.

Odido ships an update every 3 weeks, Calex Smart every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
