# Lext Talk vs TalkClub

The clearest difference is rating: TalkClub at 5.0 against Lext Talk's 4.4. TalkClub also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). Lext Talk's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lext Talk sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and TalkClub sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TalkClub holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lext Talk has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lext Talk ships an update every 6 weeks, TalkClub weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
