# WestLotto vs WDR 5

The clearest difference is monetization model: WDR 5 at free against WestLotto's free with in-app purchases. WDR 5 also leads on review sentiment (92% vs 73%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). WestLotto's advantage is ratings volume (41K vs 7). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WDR 5 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WestLotto has 41K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. WestLotto ships an update every 3 months, WDR 5 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
