# FreEWI vs EwiFinger

The clearest difference is rating: EwiFinger at 5.0 against FreEWI's 3.5. EwiFinger also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months). FreEWI's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EwiFinger holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of FreEWI's written reviews are positive against 83% of EwiFinger's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FreEWI ships an update every 11 months, EwiFinger monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
