# FreEWI vs Midiflow

The clearest difference is price: FreEWI at Free against Midiflow's $7.99. FreEWI also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). Midiflow's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 11 months). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

FreEWI is free to download; Midiflow costs $7.99 up front. Midiflow sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. FreEWI asks for nothing beyond the download.

Midiflow holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Midiflow has 39 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of FreEWI's written reviews are positive against 59% of Midiflow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FreEWI ships an update every 11 months, Midiflow every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
