# Ventrilode vs Mumble Forum

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mumble Forum at 100% against Ventrilode's 61%. Ventrilode's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ventrilode sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mumble Forum sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ventrilode ships an update every 2 months, Mumble Forum every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
