# Locatify SmartGuide vs Krapp

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Krapp at none against Locatify SmartGuide's 10. Krapp also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). Locatify SmartGuide's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (27 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Locatify SmartGuide sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Krapp asks for nothing beyond the download.

Krapp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Locatify SmartGuide has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Locatify SmartGuide ships an update every 4 months, Krapp every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
