# File Converter vs Voice Diary and Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Voice Diary and Notes at none against File Converter's 10. Voice Diary and Notes also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). File Converter's advantage is ratings volume (479 vs 4) and rating (3.8 vs 3.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File Converter sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Voice Diary and Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

File Converter holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: File Converter has 479 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of File Converter's written reviews are positive against 50% of Voice Diary and Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

File Converter ships an update every 3 months, Voice Diary and Notes daily. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
