# File Converter vs The Vector Converter

The clearest difference is rating: The Vector Converter at 4.6 against File Converter's 3.8. The Vector Converter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.8K vs 479). File Converter's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 22%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File Converter sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and The Vector Converter sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Vector Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Vector Converter has 4.8K ratings behind it against 479, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of File Converter's written reviews are positive against 22% of The Vector Converter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

File Converter ships an update every 3 months, The Vector Converter every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
