# Calculator‰ vs RealCalculator

The clearest difference is rating: Calculator‰ at 4.9 against RealCalculator's 4.4. Calculator‰ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (410K vs 51). RealCalculator's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RealCalculator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Calculator‰ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Calculator‰ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator‰ has 410K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Calculator‰'s written reviews are positive against 75% of RealCalculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculator‰ ships an update every 5 months, RealCalculator monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
