# Open Source For You vs High Times Magazine

The clearest difference is monetization model: High Times Magazine at free with in-app purchases against Open Source For You's subscription. Open Source For You's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 30%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Open Source For You sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and High Times Magazine sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Open Source For You ships an update every 4 months, High Times Magazine every 7 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
