# German by Nemo vs Grammatisch

The clearest difference is ads: German by Nemo at none against Grammatisch's shown. German by Nemo also leads on ratings volume (9.6K vs 722) and review sentiment (85% vs 72%). Grammatisch's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. German by Nemo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Grammatisch sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for German by Nemo against 4.7 for Grammatisch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: German by Nemo has 9.6K ratings behind it against 722, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of German by Nemo's written reviews are positive against 72% of Grammatisch's.

German by Nemo ships an update every 2 months, Grammatisch every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
