# 50 languages vs Xeropan

The clearest difference is ads: 50 languages at none against Xeropan's shown. 50 languages also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Xeropan's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 50 languages sells 17 one-off in-app purchases and Xeropan sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for 50 languages against 4.7 for Xeropan. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 616 and 1.5K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of 50 languages's written reviews are positive against 85% of Xeropan's.

50 languages ships an update every 5 weeks, Xeropan every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
