# SikhNet Play vs Isha Chants

The clearest difference is monetization model: Isha Chants at free against SikhNet Play's free with in-app purchases. Isha Chants also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). SikhNet Play's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 79). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for SikhNet Play against 4.9 for Isha Chants. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SikhNet Play has 1.9K ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of SikhNet Play's written reviews are positive against 88% of Isha Chants's.

SikhNet Play ships an update monthly, Isha Chants every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
