# SikhNet Play vs Gurbani Path

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gurbani Path at free against SikhNet Play's free with in-app purchases. Gurbani Path also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 90%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). SikhNet Play's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 6) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for SikhNet Play against 4.8 for Gurbani Path. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SikhNet Play has 1.9K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of SikhNet Play's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gurbani Path's.

SikhNet Play ships an update monthly, Gurbani Path every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
