# Best Secret Folder vs Message Lock

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Best Secret Folder at 66% against Message Lock's 8%. Best Secret Folder also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.1) and ratings volume (13K vs 50). Message Lock's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Best Secret Folder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year and Message Lock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
