# 当当云阅读 vs 西方哲学

The clearest difference is update cadence: 当当云阅读 at every 2 weeks against 西方哲学's every 11 months. 当当云阅读 also leads on ratings volume (990 vs 7). 西方哲学's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 当当云阅读 sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and 西方哲学 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

西方哲学 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 当当云阅读 has 990 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

当当云阅读 ships an update every 2 weeks, 西方哲学 every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
