# FotMob vs Diagnostics

The clearest difference is rating: FotMob at 4.9 against Diagnostics's 4.1. FotMob also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 28 months) and ratings volume (176K vs 10). Diagnostics's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FotMob sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Diagnostics asks for nothing beyond the download.

FotMob holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FotMob has 176K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of FotMob's written reviews are positive against 100% of Diagnostics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FotMob ships an update fortnightly, Diagnostics every 28 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
